Labour: Sunak can’t achieve anything on immigration
Alison McGovern has hit out at the prime minister’s plan for immigration, saying that she “doesn’t believe that Rishi Sunak can achieve anything on immigration.” It comes after the Mr Sunak’s Rwanda deportation plan has been hit by further delay after defiant peers dug their heels in and inflicted a series of fresh defeats against the controversial policy.

Employment minister Alison McGovern has said that the government is announcing the "biggest change to employment help in a generation." Areas with the highest rates of unemployment are set to receive additional NHS support as part of the Government's effort to revitalise employment across the UK. 57-year-old Brian Whitelock has been jailed for life without parole for murdering his neighbour Wendy Buckney in a savage attack in her own home. Whitelock was released from prison in December 2018 after being deemed a low risk by the Parole Board, having served 18 years over a separate double killing of his friend and brother.
