US President Joe Biden announced that he will visit Baltimore next week in the aftermath of the catastrophic collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge leading to the city’s port.
As of Friday afternoon, four people remain missing and are presumed dead.
The tragedy prompted Biden to pledge a visit to the site, following the lead of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.“We’re with you.
We’re going to stay with you as long as it takes,” assured Biden, expressing his intention to visit Baltimore promptly.
