Former US President Donald Trump faced criticism after sharing a video on his social media platform, Truth Social, depicting the current president and his opponent in the upcoming election, Joe Biden, Tied up in the back of a pickup truck.
Trump claimed that the video was captured on Friday (Mar 28), following his attendance at the funeral of New York Police Department (NYPD) officer Jonathan Diller, who tragically lost his life in a traffic stop shooting.
Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump has chosen former critic JD Vance as his vice-presidential nominee. Vance, a 39-year-old Ohio Senator and author, was confirmed as VP pick by RNC delegates.
Despite past criticisms of Trump, Vance has become a strong supporter. After winning his Senate seat with Trump's endorsement in 2022, Vance is now attacking Joe Biden, calling him an "incapacitated president" and accusing Democrats of lying about Biden's health.

Twenty-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, who attempted to assassinate former US President Donald Trump over the weekend, purchased rounds of ammunition prior to the shooting, American media reported on Monday, July 15. According to a senior law enforcement official speaking to CNN, Crooks bought 50 rounds of ammunition before targeting Trump at his campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Although Trump did not sustain severe injuries, he suffered a minor wound on his right ear. Crooks was shot dead by Secret Service agents shortly after he opened fire.

The riots are considered the
first major protest of the
LGBTQ community for equal rights.
They began after midnight
at the Stonewall Inn on
Christopher Street in
Greenwich Village.
Police raided the popular gay club for
operating without a liquor license.
After decades of being
targeted by the NYPD, the patrons began to
fight back by throwing bottles at police.
Several days of protests
followed, mobilizing into the
Gay Liberation Front and other
gay civil rights organizations.
The NYPD made a formal
apology for its role in the
riots — and for the laws
that led to them — in 2019
