Abba takeover at Waterloo on anniversary of Eurovision win
An Abba inspired flash mob performance with Mark de Lisser choir took place at Waterloo Station, marking the 50th anniversary of the Swedish pop supergroup winning Eurovision the competition with their hit song ‘Waterloo’ on April 6 1974 at Brighton Dome’s Concert Hall.

Pophouse Entertainment Group has bought the rock band's catalog, brand name and intellectual property in a deal worth over $300 million, ABC News reports. .

When Kiss played their last show in
December, they revealed digital avatars
of themselves, ABC News reports.
Pophouse partnered with
George Lucas' company, Industrial Light & Magic, to create the avatar technology.
The "ABBA Voyage" show in
London featured an entire performance
with the Swedish band's digital avatars.
ABC News reports that a biopic, documentary and "Kiss experience" are in the works, according to Pophouse CEO Per Sundin.
An avatar show is planned for the later part of 2027.

A Moroccan asylum seeker has been sentenced to life in jail for murder, with a minimum term of 45 years, at Teesside Crown Court. In October last year, 45-year-old Ahmed Alid stabbed Iranian Christian convert Javed Nouri at the house he was sharing with other asylum seekers before looking for more victims in Hartlepool town centre. He then stabbed and killed 70-year-old Terence Carney who was out for his regular early morning walk.
