Tragedy struck near Turkey's bustling tourist hub of Antalya as a cable car cabin tragically collided with a damaged pole, resulting in one fatality and ten injuries.

The catastrophic incident unfolded around 6pm local time on Friday, causing passengers to plummet to the ground when the cabin burst open upon impact.

Among the injured were reportedly two children, adding to the gravity of the situation.
