Justice Minister Laura Farris has praised a new report by paediatrician Dr Hilary Cass, which calls for gender services for young people to match the standards of other NHS care. The Cass Review was commissioned by NHS England in 2020 after a rise in the number of patients referred to the NHS who expressed interest in changing their gender. "Dr Cass has done amazing work identifying and highlighting the voices of the doctors in the area who said they felt under intense pressure to adopt an unquestioning affirmative attitude to any teenager who would come to them," Ms Farris said. This information, reported by Reuters citing Iranian media, sheds light on the situation surrounding the container vessel MSC Aries, which had a crew of 25 members, including 17 Indians. Notably, one of the Indian crew members, Ann Tessa Joseph, was released and returned home on April 18. The seizure of MSC Aries by Iran's Revolutionary Guards occurred in the Strait of Hormuz on April 13, shortly after Tehran declared its intent to retaliate for a suspected Israeli strike on its consulate in Damascus.
