Palestinians inspect debris after Israeli strike on Gaza's Rafah
People inspect the damage amid the rubble of buildings destroyed in an overnight Israeli strike on Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip, in which nine members of a family, including six children, were killed, according to Gaza's civil defence agency.
In Gaza, there has been no let-up to the war which began October 7 with Hamas's attack on southern Israel.
The attack resulted in the deaths of 1,170 people, mostly civilians, according to an AFP tally based on Israeli official figures.
Israel has responded with a retaliatory offensive that has killed at least 34,049 people in Gaza, mostly women and children, according to the latest toll from the health ministry in the Hamas-run territory.
