An eyewitness describes the moment a young boy was fatally stabbed in an unprovoked attack in Hainault, East London.
James Fernando, 39, described the 13-year-old victim as a “very good child” who “never put a foot wrong.” The sword-wielding suspect remains in custody after being tasered by police at the scene.

A 14-year-old boy killed in a sword attack as he walked to school has been named as Daniel Anjorin. Tributes have been paid to the teenager who has been described as a "much-loved" pupil and a keen footballer. The horrific attack which took place in Hainault, north-east London on Tuesday morning left four more people injured. A Moroccan asylum seeker has been sentenced to life in jail for murder, with a minimum term of 45 years, at Teesside Crown Court. In October last year, 45-year-old Ahmed Alid stabbed Iranian Christian convert Javed Nouri at the house he was sharing with other asylum seekers before looking for more victims in Hartlepool town centre. He then stabbed and killed 70-year-old Terence Carney who was out for his regular early morning walk.
