No Age Ontology - Positive thinking is not escaping the present moment
Many confuse the positive thinking methods for a kind of ‘escapism’ from what is or denial of the negative and sometimes obvious manifestation of a circumstance which presents itself to the senses, but this is not the correct application of the positive thinking methods.
In positive thinking one is not trying to consider every event arising in one’s perception as a positive event as opposed to a negative one because this would just be a state of confusion and absence of discriminating awareness.
In positive thinking one is simply trying to shift one’s attention and awareness from a negative and destructive aspect of one’s own mind reaction to a more constructive one in order not to be completely overwhelmed and overcome by the situation and, when possible, in order to transform it into a less negative circumstance.
