Hebrews, Part 2
Hebrews, Part 2
Join us as we continue our study into the book of Hebrews.
In the last chapter, we learned about Jesus's superiority above the angels and all of creation.
But why did Jesus need to become fully human to save us?
What does it mean that Jesus conquered death?
Does the enemy manipulate you with the fear of death?
How does Jesus's suffering and sacrifice show the ultimate gift of love God gave to humanity?
In today's readings, Amy discusses how original sin was done in flesh and blood, therefore, in order to remove this obstacle to our salvation, He had to become flesh and blood as a perfect man.
He had to experience suffering, including death, to provide salvation for you and me.
With this perfect sacrifice, death now ushers in our salvation and is not to be feared.
Jesus called us His brethren, how special is that?
