Rishi Sunak has said a racial slur against him by a Reform UK canvasser “hurts and it makes me angry” and that party leader Nigel Farage “has some questions to answer”. Campaigners for Mr Farage’s party were recorded making racist comments during a Channel 4 News undercover investigation, including about the Prime Minister who is of Indian descent. Mr Sunak said: “My two daughters have to see and hear Reform people who campaign to Nigel Farage calling me an effing p***. Reform UK leader, Nigel Farage has said that the remarks made by a party campaigner were “horrible”. Andrew Parker, out in the Essex seaside constituency of Clacton, used a racial slur against Conservative Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in footage recorded by a Channel 4 News undercover reporter. Mr Farage did however attempt to deflect attention to the Labour Party candidate, saying the Reform UK campaigner's comments were "almost as bad as the Labour candidate in Clacton." Labour’s Darren Jones says that it is the responsibility of Reform UK leader, Nigel Farage to tackle racism within the party. He said: “When it comes to a political party, if there is evidence of this type of behaviour, it is incumbent on the leaders of those parties to take swift and decisive action.” It comes as a Channel 4 investigation filmed a canvasser saying that migrants crossing the Channel should be used as “target practice”.
