Activist Yogendra Yadav had however predicted a different outcome last week.

According to Yadav, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was set to face significant losses, with their seat count expected to fall below the crucial 272-mark required for a majority.

Yadav had predicted BJP's tally could plummet to around 250 seats or even dip below 230, indicating a substantial shift in the political landscape.
