Shawn Levy in the Mix to Direct Next 'Avengers' Movie | THR News Video
Marvel is eyeing Shawn Levy to direct the next 'Avengers' film.
The director is currently busy putting the final touches on Marvel's 'Deadpool & Wolverine,' but he may also be the studio's choice to direct the next 'Avengers.'
The development is characterized as very early.
Sources say Marvel and Levy are talking about the project and that the studio gave the latest script to the filmmaker late last week.
But sources also say that other filmmakers are in the mix for the high-profile gig.
Jonathan Majors is speaking out about being recast as the main villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Majors got candid with TMZ when stopped on the street and asked what his thoughts were about the big news that Robert Downey Jr. would be returning to the MCU as notorious villain Doctor Doom, replacing Majors who was originally set to serve as the big bad for the next two phases playing Kang the Conqueror. The actor was dropped by Marvel after his conviction for reckless assault in the third degree and harassment late last year.
