The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh attended the Royal British Legion’s official UK memorial event at the National Arboretum in Staffordshire.
The Royals joined veterans and their families at the event while the King and Queen attended the Royal British Legion Memorial Event in Normandy, France.

Rishi Sunak is under fresh pressure over his early D-Day exit after he was filmed saying the events he did attend ran over time. A man has appeared in court charged with two counts of murder after the discovery of human remains in suitcases in Bristol, and, at a flat in west London. 34-year-old Yostin Andres Mosquera appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court earlier today. Police have named the two victims as 62-year-old Albert Alfonso and 71 year old Paul Longworth who lived together at a flat in Shepherds Bush. The suspect had been staying with them.
