Odisha Election Result: Naveen Patnaik Accepts Defeat, Says ‘People Of Odisha Are My Family’

Days after the Odisha assembly election results, outgoing Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik clarified that BJD leader VK Pandian, despite his long association as Patnaik's private secretary and subsequent entry into politics, is not his chosen successor.

Patnaik emphasised that the people of Odisha will ultimately decide on his successor.

Patnaik acknowledged Pandian's contributions in various sectors but reiterated that Pandian had not held any official party position.
