Energy Secretary Claire Coutinho has responded to warnings of a Labour supermajority in the general election. Home Secretary James Cleverly has warned that voting for Reform UK "just holds the door open for Labour". It comes as Nigel Farage has announced he will stand as a candidate in Clacton, Essex, for Reform UK in the general election on 4 July. A man has appeared in court charged with two counts of murder after the discovery of human remains in suitcases in Bristol, and, at a flat in west London. 34-year-old Yostin Andres Mosquera appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court earlier today. Police have named the two victims as 62-year-old Albert Alfonso and 71 year old Paul Longworth who lived together at a flat in Shepherds Bush. The suspect had been staying with them.
