In response to the Kanchenjunga Express train accident, Tripura CM Manik Saha stated that four bogies of the train had derailed.

Union minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw visited Integral Coach Factory (ICF) to inspect Vande Bharat rakes, Amrit Bharat train coaches and Vistadome dining car in Chennai on January 10.
