Gaza Government Accuses Israel of Lying About Humanitarian Pause In Rafah For Aid Delivery
The Government Information Office in Gaza has accused Israel of dishonesty regarding its declaration of a daily halt in military operations in southern Gaza.
This statement comes a day after the Israeli military announced a "tactical pause" from 8 a.m.
To 7 p.m.
To facilitate the movement of aid trucks from the Kerem Shalom crossing up the Salah al-Din road northwards.
In his address to the UN General Assembly, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Israel is fighting for its survival against "savage enemies" and emphasized that Hamas "has got to go." He argued that if Hamas remains in power, it will continue to attack Israel repeatedly. Netanyahu reiterated Israel's commitment to achieving "total victory" and indicated that the country will not participate in Gaza's reconstruction as long as Hamas remains in control.
