Just Stop Oil protesters have sprayed Stonehenge orange on the eve of the summer solstice, to demand the UK's next government legally commit to phasing out fossil fuels by 2030.
Just Stop Oil campaigners protest outside the Court of Appeal at the Royal Courts of Justice, where sixteen climate activists are challenging their sentences. The protesters received prison sentences of between five years and 15 months in July and August last year for their roles in four demonstrations held by Just Stop Oil between August and November 2022, including climbing on gantries over the M25 and throwing soup over Vincent van Gogh's Sunflowers.
