Russian forces have made significant progress in the villages of Evgenovka, Novgorodskoye, Timofeeva, Sokol, and Toretsk, repelling five Ukrainian counterattacks in the region. Over 400 Ukrainian troops and several units of hardware, including a U.S.-sent Bradley Fighting Vehicle, MaxxPro Vehicle, and an M777 Howitzer, were reportedly lost during the fighting in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) within 24 hours. Since capturing the town of Avdeevka in February, a major Ukrainian stronghold near Donetsk, Russian forces have reduced Kyiv troops' ability to shell the city and have steadily advanced in the DPR and other areas, including Ukraine's Kharkiv region, taking control of several settlements.
