In a shocking incident, Tajamul Islam, a close aide of a TMC leader, was arrested for assaulting a youth and a woman during an 'Insaf Sabha' over an alleged extramarital affair.
The video of the assault, which has gone viral, shows the harsh reality of Taliban-style 'quick justice' being practiced in parts of West Bengal.

A video of Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Kalyan Banerjee mocking the Bharatiya Janata Partyâs (BJP) poll slogan âabki baar 400 paarâ in the Lok Sabha went viral on Tuesday, July 2. Banerjee ridiculed the slogan, saying, âThey played the game with âabki baar 400 paar.â There are many games, and chu-kit-kit is one of them.â He explained that the slogan â400â resonated loudly with âchuâ and ended with âkit-kit.â He pointed out that despite their slogan, the BJP only won 240 seats and still lost the game. Chu-kit-kit, a game popular among children in West Bengal and often considered a modified version of Hopscotch, involves drawing nine squares inside a large triangle. Players must strike a stone with their foot while ensuring their other leg does not touch the ground. Banerjee's comparison of the BJP's electoral performance to this children's game was intended to highlight their shortfall in achieving their ambitious goal.
