Trump took to Truth Social to share his thoughts on Clooney's blunt essay.
He wrote, in part, "So now fake movie actor George Clooney, who never came close to making a great movie, is getting into the act.
He's turned on Crooked Joe like the rats they both are.
What does Clooney know about anything??" He concluded his post by writing, "Crooked Joe Biden didn't save our Democracy, he brought our Democracy to its knees.
Clooney should get out of politics and go back to television.

Clooney wrote in The New York Times that it was "devastating to say it" but the Biden he met at a fundraising event three weeks ago was not the "'Joe 'big ****ing deal' Biden of 2010. Twenty-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, who attempted to assassinate former US President Donald Trump over the weekend, purchased rounds of ammunition prior to the shooting, American media reported on Monday, July 15. According to a senior law enforcement official speaking to CNN, Crooks bought 50 rounds of ammunition before targeting Trump at his campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Although Trump did not sustain severe injuries, he suffered a minor wound on his right ear. Crooks was shot dead by Secret Service agents shortly after he opened fire.
