In a deadly airstrike early Sunday, Israeli aircraft targeted military installations and a residential building in the southwestern part of Damascus, resulting in the death of one Syrian soldier and injuring three others.
The attack took place in the Kafr Sousa neighbourhood, according to Syria's official news agency, SANA.
A military source reported that the Israeli aerial assault occurred shortly after midnight, with missiles launched from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan Heights.
"The Israeli enemy carried out an aerial aggression while our Syrian Arab Army’s air defence systems intercepted and downed some of the missiles," the source stated.
Israel's airstrikes on Damascus have killed at least 15 people and injured 16 others, many of whom were women and children. The attack targeted residential buildings in the Mazzeh neighborhood and the Qudsaya area, carried out by Israeli warplanes coming from the occupied Golan Heights.
