Britian’s King Charles III and Queen Camilla arrived Wednesday at Westminster Palace in a horse-drawn carriage to preside over the State Opening of Parliament.

King Charles III has extended a historic invitation to US President Donald Trump for an unprecedented second state visit to Britain. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer read the royal invite during his meeting with Trump at the White House. Trump, who previously visited the UK in 2019, will become the first world leader to receive two state visits. During the visit, he may also stop at his Scottish golf resort near Balmoral. The King and Queen gave a birthday card to a woman celebrating her 100th birthday in Middlesborough. King Charles and Queen Camilla handed Rona Grafton the birthday card in an envelope, wishing her "a very, very happy birthday". The meeting was part of their Majesties' royal visit to Middlesborough where they carried out numerous engagements.
