The Yemeni armed forces have launched a series of attacks targeting Israel's southern port city of Eilat and an American-owned vessel in the Red Sea.
The operation comes in response to recent Israeli actions against Yemen.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the Yemeni forces, confirmed that ballistic missiles were used in a specific military operation against key targets in the Eilat area, known as Umm al-Rashrash.
According to Saree, the operation successfully achieved its objectives.
The Yemeni forces also targeted the American ship "Pumba" with ballistic missiles.
Yemenâs Armed Forces have pledged to maintain their operations in support of the Palestinian cause following recent Israeli airstrikes on civilian targets in Yemen. The commitment was made by Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the forcesâ spokesman, in response to the attacks that targeted buildings, oil facilities, and a power station in the western Yemeni province of al-Hudaydah. The airstrikes, described by General Saree as âheinous aggression,â resulted in the deaths of three people and injuries to 87 others, with many sustaining severe burns, according to a statement from the rebel-run health ministry.
