We now know who's in talks to star in the 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' reboot.
The Hollywood Reporter can exclusively reveal that Madelyn Cline and Camila Mendes are in talks to lead the ensemble of Sony Pictures' reboot of the 1997 horror hit.
Cline, of course, plays Sarah Cameron in the Netflix series 'Outer Banks,' while Mendes played Veronica on the CW's long-running series 'Riverdale.'
Also in negotiations are Tony Award nominee Sarah Pidgeon... 'Atlanta's' Tyriq Withers and Jonah Hauer-King, who played Prince Eric in Disney's live-action remake of 'The Little Mermaid.'
The U.S. Supreme Court has upheld a law effectively subjecting TikTok to a national ban on Sunday. The massively popular social media platform that is used by roughly half the country will be shut down, unless there's an 11th-hour lifeline from President-elect Donald Trump, who has said he can reach a deal to rescue the app. The Hollywood Reporter spoke to TikTok creators and asked how they're feeling about the Supreme Court's decision.

David Lynch, the writer-director whose film and TV work included 'Blue Velvet,' 'Mulholland Drive' and 'Twin Peaks,' has died. He was 78. Lynch's death was announced on his Facebook page. The post read, "It is with deep regret that we, his family, announce the passing of the man and the artist, David Lynch. We would appreciate some privacy at this time. There's a big hole in the world now that he's no longer with us. But, as he would say, 'Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.' During a conversation at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles, Mescal's 'Gladiator II' director Ridley Scott let slip that the actor may have some scheduling conflicts for their next film collaboration. In a conversation with Christopher Nolan, the filmmaker Scott asked if Mescal is set to star in his upcoming thriller feature 'The Dog Stars.' Scott confirmed this as true before correcting himself and explaining that Mescal's schedule may prevent the 'Gladiator II' pair from reuniting on the new film. According to Scott, the actor is set to star in Sony Pictures' Beatles movies for director Sam Mendes.
