Russia Uses Hypersonic Missiles in Strike on Ukraine Arms Depot |US-Supplied Himars System Destroyed
The Russian military has destroyed a Ukrainian warehouse in Donbass, which allegedly stored several multiple launch rocket systems and more than a dozen armored vehicles, the Defense Ministry in Moscow has claimed.
Officials also released an video of the alleged strike.
In a statement on Friday, the ministry said that Moscow’s forces used an Iskander-M short-range ballistic missile to strike the facility in the key regional hub of Kramatorsk, currently occupied by Ukraine, where artillery of Ukraine’s 56th separate motorized infantry brigade was stored.
The new aid package includes weapons that will be pulled from existing US stockpiles, including air defence interceptors for National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems and munitions for HIMARS rocket systems.

U.S has authorized a $375 million aid package for Ukraine, including HIMARS rounds and various weapons. However, a classified Ukrainian assessment reportedly suggests HIMARS has been rendered "completely ineffective" by Russian jamming, sometimes missing targets by over 50 feet. This contrasts with the weapon's previous reputation and the continued US support.

Peskov condemned the targeting of civilian infrastructure, describing it as a clear indication of the aggressive nature of the Ukrainian government. He emphasised that Russia must continue its military operations to protect against such attacks, while the Defense Ministry reported intercepting 144 drones during the overnight assault.
