Southport residents left devastated by knife attack
Officers from Merseyside fire and rescue service were amongst residents in Southport laying floral tributes following the knife attack on Monday which killed three children.
A 17-year-old boy, born in Cardiff, is being held on suspicion of murder and attempted murder following the attack in Hart Street, Southport, on Monday, 29 July.

Home Secretary Yvette Cooper has condemned the riots in Southport, describing the scenes as a "total disgrace." The unrest came after a peaceful vigil in the town on Tuesday evening which saw hundreds pay tribute to the victims of the tragedy. A vigil has been held for the victims of the Southport stabbings and to show support to for those impacted by the tragedy. It comes as police confirmed the names of the victims as Bebe King, 6 , Elsie Dot Stancombe, 7, and Alice Aguiar, 9. They died after being stabbed on Hart Street in Southport on Monday.
