Vice President Kamala Harris selects Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has 2024 running mate.

Currently serving his second term as Minnesota's Governor, Walz has recently become a primary figure within the Democratic Party.

The 60-year-old VP pick previously served 12 years in Congress, representing Minnesota's 1st congressional district from 2007 to 2019.

Aside from his career in politics, Walz served 24 years in the Army National Guard after enlisting at 17, worked as a high school social studies teacher, and coached football.

Actor Charles Cyphers dies at 85.

The actor, best known for his role in the Halloween franchise as Sheriff Leigh Brackett, passed away on Sunday following a brief illness.

Cyphers appeared in 3 Halloween movies throughout his career, starring in the original 1978 film, reprising his role in the 1981 sequel, and returning for 2021's Halloween Kills.

His passing was revealed to Variety by his manager Chris Roe, writing 'He was a close friend and client of many years who will be dearly missed.'
