Cate Blanchett Claims ‘No One Got Paid Anything’ to Make ‘Lord of the Rings’

Cate Blanchett, known for her iconic role as Galadriel in 'The Lord of the Rings', recently revealed that she earned almost nothing for her work in the legendary trilogy.

Appearing on 'Watch What Happens Live' to promote her new film 'Borderlands', Blanchett surprised host Andy Cohen by disclosing that despite the global success of the films, she was compensated with little more than sandwiches and her elf ears.

She also highlighted the ongoing issue of pay disparity for women in Hollywood, noting that she received no residuals from the franchise.
