Street sweeper ‘over the moon’ after holiday present
Street sweeper Paul Spiers says he is “over the moon” after getting the go-ahead to be able to take a holiday to Portugal, funded by local residents in Beckenham, southeast London.
Paul is so popular locals set up an online fundraiser to raise money to send him on a trip abroad for his birthday.
But his bosses said he couldn't accept the gift because of the terms of his contract.
Luckily a holiday company stepped in and created a competition only Paul could win.
