Ukrainian Shelling Destroys Belgorod: Five Civilians Dead and Dozens Injured in Pre-Dawn Assault

In a dramatic escalation of the conflict, Ukrainian shelling targeted the settlement of Rakitnoye in Russia's Belgorod Region, resulting in five civilian deaths and injuries to twelve others, including three children.

The pre-dawn assault, described by Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov as a “brutal terrorist strike,” caused extensive damage, including the destruction of private homes, vehicles, and vital infrastructure.

A gas pipeline was ruptured, leaving three nearby communities without gas, and power lines were also damaged.

Emergency services have been deployed to address the damages and provide medical aid to the injured, four of whom are in severe condition.
