We're finally getting a teaser for 'Emilia Perez' the critically acclaimed film starring Zoe Saldaña, Selena Gomez and Karla Sofía Gascón.
The Netflix queer crime musical, written and directed by Jacques Audiard, is a Spanish-language feature which follows cartel boss Emilia played by Gascón who enlists an unappreciated lawyer, played by Saldaña, to help fake her own death so that she can finally embrace her true gender identity.
'Emilia Pérez' director Jacques Audiard revealed that he has not spoken to his film's title character Karla Sofía Gascón following her controversial tweets. Audiard told Deadline Hollywood in an interview that he has severed ties with the Oscar best actress nominee amid a growing controversy regarding offensive past social media tweets and commentary that Gascón posted on X (formerly known as Twitter).
