Smith died peacefully on Friday, September 17th per a statement released by her family, "It is with great sadness we have to announce the death of Dame Maggie Smith. A feature film about the life of Queen Latifah is in the works and Will Smith is producing it. The movie will be the first in a slate of independently financed hip-hop biopics hailing from Flavor Unit Entertainment, Westbrook Studios and Jesse Collins Entertainment.
