Cyprus to join European power grid following interstate agreement with Greece
'The Electricity Connection will contribute towards lifting the energy isolation of Cyprus and connecting the national electricity transport system with the respective European ones.

France, Indonesia evacuate citizens stranded in Israel and Iran
More than 100 French citizens were evacuated from Israel to Cyprus on Tuesday after being stranded there as the war with Iran broke out. Close to 100 Indonesian nationals in Iran were also successfully repatriated as Jakarta plans to carry out further evacuation missions.

A fierce war of words has erupted between the United States and Russia after former US President Donald Trump threatened to impose "secondary tariffs" of up to 100% if Moscow does not end the war in Ukraine within 50 days. Trump, speaking at a White House press event, warned that he was "very unhappy" with the ongoing conflict and that severe economic consequences would follow.
Responding to the threat, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov delivered a sharp and dismissive rebuke from China. Lavrov stated unequivocally, "We are not worried, it's not our job to worry," indicating that Russia is prepared to withstand any new sanctions. He further mocked Trump's timeline, pointing out the shifting deadlines from the US. "Now it's 50 days, it used to be 24 hours, also 100 days.
