What Austria's electoral results mean for EU affairs
Austria could become the latest European Union member state to have a far-right party in power after the Freedom Party (FPÖ) secured victory in Sunday's general election.
The European Commission declared Romania ready to join the Schengen area in 2011, but faced opposition from several countries. Austria, the last holdout, lifted its veto during a meeting in Budapest last month.

The Prime Minister told the Liaison Committee "we can pursue both" and that he is ensuring a "good relationship" with incoming president Trump.
