Country legend and actor Kris Kristofferson dies at 88.

Known for his iconic songs such as 'Me and Bobby McGee,' 'For the Good Times,' and 'Help Me Make It Through the Night' as well as his onscreen starring role in 1976's A Star is Born alongside Barbra Streisand, Kris Kristofferson left a legendary mark on the world.

He passed away at his home in Maui, Hawaii on Saturday while surrounded by family, as revealed by family spokesperson Ebie McFarland.

A cause of death has yet to be revealed.

Hogestyn was a staple in the Days of Our Lives family, starring as his character John Black for nearly 4 decades.

The Soap Opera star passed away after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer, just one day shy of his 71st birthday.
