The India Meteorological Department has predicted severe weather conditions for Bengaluru along with heavy rains and thunderstorms. As per the latest report, in the last 24 hours, the city has recorded 66.1 mm of rainfall till Wednesday morning.

The continuous rain has resulted in heavy traffic and waterlogging and has also impacted the lives of daily residents.

As a precautionary measure, all the schools located in the Bengaluru Urban district have been closed for Wednesday.

Several employees from the information technology and biotechnology sectors have been asked to do work from home.
