On Sunday, Oct.
27, fans who organized the competition in New York City's Washington Square Park were in for several surprises.
At one point, the Oscar nominee himself surprised the crowd, with videos from the Associated Press and fans on X capturing him waving, greeting supporters, and posing for photos as he made his way through the excited audience.
Police eventually shut down the event citing the group did not have a permit.
