Budget to end NHS ‘neglect,’ but improvements will take time
The Chancellor plans to invest billions in the NHS, with £1.5 billion for new surgical hubs and scanners, plus £70 million for radiotherapy machines.
Health Secretary Wes Streeting acknowledged that while improvements won’t happen overnight, this funding will support Labour’s goal of providing two million additional NHS appointments each year.
