Streeting opposes assisted dying due to poor palliative care
Health Secretary Wes Streeting voices concern over a proposed bill to legalise assisted dying.
He says, “failures in palliative care mean that assisted dying wouldn’t give people a real choice.
It would become not a right to die, but effectively an obligation to die because the support isn’t there for good end-of-life care”.
