Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans' holiday film 'Red One' was a true gift for the box office and 'Gladiator II' ruled overseas!
'Red One' came in on the higher end of expectations with a $34.1 million domestic debut after it looked as though the big-budget holiday pic might have trouble getting to even $30 million.
Chris Evans is returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for 'Avengers: Doomsday.' The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that after the actor appeared in 'Deadpool & Wolverine,' he is dipping back into the MCU once again for the film that will see Robert Downey Jr. play Doctor Doom. The actor's longtime collaborators the Russo brothers are directing the movie that has a release date of May 1st, 2026.

It seems that Paul Mescal is headed down Abbey Road. During a conversation at the Directors Guild of America in Los Angeles, Mescal's 'Gladiator II' director Ridley Scott let slip that the actor may have some scheduling conflicts for their next film collaboration. In a conversation with Christopher Nolan, the filmmaker Scott asked if Mescal is set to star in his upcoming thriller feature 'The Dog Stars.' Scott confirmed this as true before correcting himself and explaining that Mescal's schedule may prevent the 'Gladiator II' pair from reuniting on the new film. According to Scott, the actor is set to star in Sony Pictures' Beatles movies for director Sam Mendes.
