MPs turn out in support of farmers protest

MPs including shadow environment secretary Victoria Atkins, shadow foreign secretary Priti Patel and Tory party leader Kemi Badenoch have turned out in Westminster to offer their support to the farmers protest.

Thousands of farmers arrived at the event in a convoy of tractors before joining a huge rally attended by celebrities including Andrew Lloyd-Webber and Jeremy Clarkson.

The plans introduced by Labour in last month's Budget to impose inheritance tax on farms worth more than ÂŁ1 million have sparked fury among rural communities.
