In Solapur's Markadwadi village, NCP(SP) supporters, upset over BJPâs Ram Satpute leading locally despite Uttamrao Jankarâs overall win, planned an illegal ballot âre-election.â Authorities rightly shut it down, calling it anti-democratic. Ironically, EVMsâintroduced by Congressâare now their scapegoat. Locals dismissed the rhetoric, crediting Satputeâs development work, with one saying, âHe earned his votes, no tampering needed.â
