Mary was possessed by demons and was wrestling with her demons.

When Jesus meets Mary at the bar she frequents, she asked, “who are you”.

He said to her, “Thus says the Lord, he who created you, he who formed you.

Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name.” These were the words her father taught her from her youth when she was scared and were also the words written on the piece of paper she carried.
