Chris Evans sets return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Avengers: Doomsday.
Nearly 5 months after announcing the return of Robert Downey Jr., the Marvel Cinematic Universe is bringing back another familiar face.
Chris Evans, best known for his role as Captain America, as well as Johnny Storm in the Fantastic Four franchise, is reportedly returning to the big screen in the MCU film Avengers: Doomsday .
It is unclear what his role in the film will be at this time.
Along with Evans and Downey Jr., the film is expected to feature other familiar faces, including Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson and Tom Holland as Peter Parker, as well as the new cast of the upcoming Fantastic Four adaptation which will star Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, and Vanessa Kirby.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit theaters in May of 2026.

Best known for her highly acclaimed poetry and contributions to the Black arts movement, Nikki Giovanni left a profound impact on the world.
She passed away on Monday according to a statement made by friend and fellow author Renée Watson.
Throughout her career, Giovanni released dozens of poetry collections, 11 children's books, as well as a variety of essays and anthologies.
Her many accolades include a 2024 Emmy Award for Exceptional Merit in Documentary Filmmaking for Going to Mars: The Nikki Giovanni Project .
Her final work, 'The Last Book' is set to publish in the Fall of next year.
