At least 175 people have died and over 3,000 displaced after catastrophic floods submerged Mokwa, a major market town in Nigeria's Niger State. Triggered by predawn rains, the floods affected 500 households, leaving many rooftops submerged and people waist-deep in water. President Bola Tinubu has activated emergency response operations, vowing no victim will be abandoned.
