Presidential election in Croatia likely heading towards January second round
With nearly all of the votes counted, left-leaning MilanoviÄ won 49% while his main challenger Dragan Primorac, a candidate of the ruling conservative HDZ party, trailed far behind with 19%.
MilanoviÄ won more than 74% of the vote compared to his challenger Dragan Primorac, who received nearly 26%, according to results released by the state election authorities after more than 99% of the ballots were counted.
