Russian Army Sings, Dances, and Celebrates New Year with Gifts and Holiday Cheer for Orphanage Kids
Russian military personnel spread joy this New Year by decorating their stations with festive garlands and New Year's trees, creating a warm holiday atmosphere at the front lines.
As part of the holiday spirit, servicemen from the "West" and "Center" military groups prepared accommodations, while Marines of the Northern Fleet brought gifts to the children of the "Rovesnik" orphanage in Murmansk.
The children enjoyed a concert from the Marines’ rock band, "White Bears," and exchanged heartfelt gifts.
This touching display of care and holiday cheer showcases the Russian army’s support for both their comrades and local communities during the festive season.

With heightened tensions between NATO and Russia, especially following Russia's military activities in Ukraine and the Arctic, this move signals a major shift in NATO’s defense strategy. The new hub is expected to be operational by 2026, and it aims to strengthen allied cooperation in the Nordic region. In response, Russia has warned of its readiness to defend its interests in the Arctic. What does this mean for the future of NATO-Russia relations?
