Justin Baldoni files $250 million defamation lawsuit against the New York Times following Blake Lively allegations The lawsuit, which was filed on Tuesday, claims that the article published by the Times features inaccuracies, is misrepresentative of the facts, and relies on Lively's 'self-serving narrative.'

The suit is in response to a legal complaint filed by Lively on December 20, where she accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and retaliation, citing incidents that took place while filming the 2024 film adaptation of It Ends With Us .

The New York Times was the first to report the complaint.

Baldoni's lawsuit against the Times features documentation of text messages between Baldoni and Lively, as well as other producers who worked on the film, which lawyers claim prove that images published in Lively's initial complaint were doctored and allegations made were inaccurate.

It is unclear at this time if Baldoni will take legal action against Lively directly.
